Butler Bakery: Venetian Pizza Roll

Same batch of dough, new roll.  It is pretty much a thin basic pizza (pepperoni, cheese, sauce, banana peppers), rolled up and baked for 25.  A few kinks still need to be worked out.

Butler Bakery: Lavash

Erin has been bringing over amazing pinwheel sandwiches from some place in Jacksonville.  My olive oil dough recipe allows for the creation of Lavash, an airy flat-bread used in the concoction.

1 Orange sized ball of dough
Spinach
Tomato
Rondele spread/ or Hummus
Sliced turkey

On A Boat!

Good times floating at the islands and hitting up the oldies hour at Squid Lips.  We even made it through a white squall, barely.

Captain Parr guided us through the channel markers.

Cindy, Parr and Merek.  Ashlei was on the boat, possibly sleeping.

We were the first ones there.

Pre-Blog Disney: Blast from the Past

I came across some Epcot pics from our Spring Break trip earlier this year.  We camped at Fort Wilderness and shared a Disney experience with the White's.  Fast Pass-ed the heck out of Disney!

The Inlet

Here are a few neat overhead pictures of the inlet down the street.  It makes for about a 13 mile bike ride.  We stumbled across some new camping options nearby.  It is free to kayak to an island and camp!

This was one unhappy osprey!

River Dolphins

Honest John's fish camp + Kayaks + wildlife = Good Times.

We went Kayaking on the river for the first time in a while the other day.  We spooked an osprey and chased down some dolphins.  Almost got jumped by a gang of paddle boarders.

Stay Tuned:  More pics to come

Ghosts and Orbs, Oh My.

The group decided to walk down some random side streets because I said "That is a stupid idea".  So out of sheer spite we went on a wild detour and ended up at the Tolomato Cemetery.  Erin claims that she took some pictures the last time she was there and caught orbs of a boy.  I called "BS" on the whole scenario, took a picture of the gravestone she referred to, then the tree where she caught the orbs, and sure enough my camera had to go ahead and pick up orbs.  Unfortunately I had to eat my own words, here is the reveal:

Headstone of boy.

Orbs in tree, Erin was vindicated.

After this second round of orbs I called the boy a bad name
out of frustration.

Then the orbs disappeared, hmmm.

Santa Maria

By now everyone has heard of the legendary Singleton's a fun and friendly place where you can get a grab bag of fried foods; I now introduce you to the Santa Maria.  A nice little restaurant on the water (literally on the water) where you can feed the fish while you eat.  It's a win win for everyone!

Vibrams

Alea found this and I had to throw it out there.

My wife hates these shoes, but damn they make me spry!

Believe It or Not!

Our first trip to the world famous Ripley's left everyone amazed.  We traveled to St. Augustine for Erin's pre-birthday extravaganza.  I won a bet and Karen bought me a pretzel.  A time we won't soon forget.

The cow with 6 LEGS!

Erin was sad that she was skinny with a short neck.
Her dreams of headlining the side show had been dashed.

She had it coming.

It came right through the window.
