Steve and mason joined us for the thanksgiving weekend.  Mason, Maggie and Mader were bestest of friends.

We now have a firepit!  It has amazing powers.  Neighbors have flocked over and wood sprites have visited to deliver fuel.  Now we need a dutch oven.  Good times to come.

Nickel

We discussed the different types of coins we use and investigated all of the pictures on them.
And then we came to the nickel up close:

Student 2: No, it's a vampire!

Student 3: No, it can't be, vampires live in Europe.

There you have it. The picture on the nickel is none other than an undead Mitt Romney from Europe.

I think this may be the first raffle I've ever one.  This mighty basket fed 7 people with tons left over.  Cracker Barrel is just as good when made at home.

The Real Women of Brevard County

Last Friday I celebrated the Real Women of Brevard with Karen and Mrs. September Jantina.  Had a great time and met some really great folks.

Sandy Bean Haul

The beach had plenty of goodies the morning after Sandy rolled through.  We found more sea beans in one day than we have in our entire time living here.  Not a bad find.
