Closet Maid For Two

After the better part of a day we have a new closet! I was very worried that they would look a little "cheap" but they are surprisingly nice. Once you get the first tower together the rest are easy. At some point the goal will be to put a higher shelf that runs completely around the closet. 

The summer remodel checklist is now complete (new bedroom:floors, paint, bed, new bathroom paint and trim, and a new closet: floor, paint and organizers).

Bed Time

I can see the garage floor! The bed is finished, it came out better than I thought. Everything square. Well, pretty darn close to square. We ordered the mattress off Amazon, this gave me a bit of anxiety, but it came in two prime shipping days. The box was heavy, it was raining, the UPS guy was pissed but all in all everything worked out well.

I am super excited about this project and am also dreading the day we have to move!

Almost there!

The slats have been screwed on and pegboard has been laid to accommodate the memory foam mattress. The side-rails are cut but I ran out of screws.

Summer Break Project Update

Summer is finally here! This means we have the time to sit, think, and get back to work. We ended on three coats of paint. The next step is slats every two inches then side-rails. I can finally see my garage floor!

Headboard finished

The headboard is ready to be painted.

Bed Time

We decided to make a bed rather than buy one from Kane's. For the most part it has been an over sized pile of lumber in the garage. Four weeks after purchasing we finally began cutting. The head board is starting to take shape.

Workin Hard

Clean those vents Kenny

The dryer wasn't working right so we broke out the drill and the long brush.  Had to get on the roof and shove my arm down to clean out the last little bit.  We picked the tool up at HD for about 19, well worth it.
