Turtle Video links that work!

I apologize for the technical difficulties! Here they are, Turtle after Turtle, making their way in the world today. It takes everything you've got. If you like what you see please feel free to check out some of our sponsors!
This little guy was all alone.

He had a hard time making it over the tire treads.

This nest started as one head poking out. I stopped the video thinking that was it.
Every time I turned around there were more.

              This one is my favorite.

Turtle Time

I have been scouring the beach before sunset and and just before sunrise in search for elusive clutch! We've seen turtles laying eggs, turtles under the sea, and singular baby turtles crawling to the sea, but I have yet to find the clutch of babies emerging from the sand. So far no luck on that, however we did come across a few individual babies and one momma who came up very early to lay. Enjoy.

Beach Camping?

The coastline out in the Olympics did not disappoint. Sadly it was too late to camp as it was on our way back from the bush. Till next time!

That could be our campsite

Kombucha

Thank you Karen White for getting me hooked on the booch! I ended up with a growing scoby and started my own batch. So this scoby (booger) sits on the tea and eats up all the sugars for a few weeks  and turns the once sweet tea to beautiful Kombucha. Boil more tea place scoby on top and repeat. Alea is super happy that her pantry smells like Kimchi AND kombucha.

Home made Cornhole

Other than the 10 year old warped plywood, it came out pretty well. Alea did the amazing paint job. She can paint just about anything, give a call if you need a design!

Danny and the Family

It just so happened that Mom, April, and Danny were all in Seattle on my last day. We met for some pizzas and good times.

This Dog Can't Hunt

I took Maggie out to hunt for Pokemon and all she found was this non-augmented reality critter. The Eastern Black Swallowtail butterfly is a beautiful specimen but it wouldn't get into my phone's pokeball.

The Hartzell Visit

Just before the school year ended we witnessed the tornado that is Jake, Ruby, and Thomas. We had a fire, went to the beach, and they slept in a bounce house.

Maggie's New Best Friend

Gabriel learned a new trick and Maggie made a new friend. Maggie may be more excited for Audrey than any of us.

Birthday Foodz

Thank you everyone for the birthday well-wishes! I spent the bulk of the day eating various foods with Alea (my favorite thing). Lucky for you I snapped pics of it.
It started with blueberry coffee from 7-11 and a salt bagel from Einstein's (*sad face emoji* they were all out of pretzel bagels). Just before lunch we received the call we had been waiting for, the Lazy Boy was waiting for us at the warehouse. They quoted us 10 weeks at purchase, which would have been our expected due date, but they came through early.
Before picking it up I did my best at re-creating the Greek Sandwich from Subs-N-Such. I think I nailed everything except the Greek Dressing, store-bought was too sweet. For dessert Alea slaved away on a peanut-butter cheesecake with chocolate ganache.
For dinner I prepared some homemade black and blue's and dined on a huge pretzel and curry shrimp at Coasters. I love food.

Big thanks to Rock-Steady D.J. for helping with the recliner transport!

Ham, salami, lettuce, onion, black olives, Greek peppers, (tomatoes optional), feta, Greek dressing.

Olympic Peninsula Camping

Again, a huge thank you to Nick and Gina for taking me way out into the beautiful depths of the Northwest rain forest. Our site was next to a rushing mountain river. We hiked close to the top of an 8 mile mountain (14 miles round trip).

There were many helpful slugs.

Seattle (the first few days)

This year's Seattle trip was one of a kind. Thanks to Nick and Gina for taking me in, showing me the sights and letting me crash. I found the Gazoo, met the Troll, hung out with Lenin, and saw At The Drive In.
